In continuation of the nationwide End bad governance protest in Nigeria demanding for reduction of fuel price and finding solution to the high cost of living and other social amenities ravaging the nation, in Oyo state the long awaited October 1st protest seemed like it wasn’t going to hold in the early hours of today, youth of Oyo state suddenly marched out to mokola roundabout with placard, singing songs of anti-governnment.
The youth were peaceful in their conduct while the leader of the protest stated their displeasure and anger towards tge government and the leaders. The youth were later seen at the entrance of Adamasingba stadium, mokola airing their opinions and grievances.
Coincidentally, happened to be when the convoy of the deputy governor and other government functionaries of the state were leaving tge stadium after the October first independence day program
It will be recalled that similar protest tagged end bad governance and hunger protest took place in the country which lasted for 10 day from August 1st to August 10th 2024
