The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senators’ Caucus from Osun State has officially declared its support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential race.
In a joint statement released on Tuesday, Senators Kamarudeen Oyewumi (Osun West), Olubiyi Ajagunla (Osun Central), and Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East) endorsed President Tinubu as their preferred candidate, citing his leadership record and ongoing reforms.
The endorsement followed a meeting where the lawmakers unanimously backed Tinubu, highlighting his administration’s achievements in economic revitalization, infrastructure development, and improvements in national security. They also noted a significant reduction in food prices, attributing it to the President’s policy direction.
Describing Tinubu’s agenda as “visionary and progressive,” the senators reaffirmed their united stance and confidence in his leadership.
“This endorsement is not just symbolic—it reflects our deep confidence in President Tinubu’s ability to deliver on the promise of democracy,” the statement read. “The Osun PDP Senators’ Caucus is united and unwavering in its support. There is no internal dissent; we stand as one.”
The senators also called on the President to maintain and accelerate his developmental initiatives for the benefit of Nigerians across the country.
