Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commended the appointment of Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe as the Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), describing it as a well-deserved recognition of his competence and contributions to the health sector.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for considering Oloriegbe for the strategic role, noting that the appointment reinforces the trust in Kwara’s human resources.
“Oloriegbe is an excellent fit for this position. His experience as a medical professional and his track record as a former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health will serve the NHIA and the Nigerian people well,” AbdulRazaq stated.
He urged stakeholders in the health sector to support the new NHIA Chairman, expressing confidence that Oloriegbe would bring his expertise and network to advance the agency’s mandate.
“As always, we are grateful to President Tinubu for yet another honour bestowed on our state. We trust that Senator Oloriegbe will deliver in this new capacity,” the Governor added.
AbdulRazaq prayed for Oloriegbe’s success and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the health sector in Kwara and beyond.
