In the early hours of Tuesday, April 16, 2025, unidentified hoodlums reportedly armed with cutlasses and firearms launched an attack on the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. in the Obeiba-Ihima community, located in the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to intelligence sources, at least three assailants were involved in the attack, during which parts of the property were vandalized, including the destruction of window panes.
The Senator’s Chief Security Officer, Yakubu Ovanja, promptly alerted the relevant security agencies, prompting a swift response from operatives of the Okehi Police Division.
No casualties were recorded during the incident, and no arrests have been made as of the time of this report. However, security personnel have documented the scene and commenced preliminary investigations.
Police sources quoted by security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed that the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents the Kogi Central Senatorial District, has yet to release an official statement on the incident. Authorities continue to investigate the matter to uncover the identities and motives of those involved.
