Lagos State is currently hosting a high-level meeting of the South-West Governors’ Forum, with key leaders from the region arriving at the Lagos House in Ikeja on Thursday.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, along with Ondo and Ekiti State Governors, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Biodun Oyebanji, have joined their counterparts—Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Ademola Adeleke of Osun State—at the venue. They were received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is also the chairman of the Forum.
The meeting is expected to address critical regional issues, including agriculture, food security, economic growth, and security of lives and property. A statement from Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, emphasized that the discussions aim to enhance collaboration and development initiatives in the South-West.
The governors will brief the media at the conclusion of the meeting.
