Despite global instability in crude oil markets, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reaffirmed its commitment to making petrol more affordable for Nigerians, stating that it has consistently reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to cushion the effects of rising fuel costs.
In a statement issued by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the company said its decision to maintain downward price adjustments reflects its desire to ease the financial burden on Nigerians while boosting the country’s economic resilience.
“This move is part of our unwavering support for the Nigerian economy. We recognise the hardship caused by fluctuating fuel prices, and we are determined to be part of the solution by stabilising and lowering the cost of petrol,” Chiejina said.
Dangote explained that its pricing strategy aligns with the Federal Government’s “Nigeria First” policy and is a show of support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“By refining petroleum products locally at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are proud to contribute to energy security, conserve foreign exchange, and strengthen the economy,” the company stated. “We thank President Bola Tinubu for enabling this through the Naira-for-Crude Initiative, which has been instrumental in making fuel more affordable.”
The refinery assured consumers, partners, and the government of its ongoing commitment to quality, affordability, and service to the nation.
“We will continue to ensure that the benefits of local refining are felt by all Nigerians. Our focus remains on affordability, national interest, and delivering reliable petroleum products,” the statement added.
