The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, December 25; Thursday, December 26; and Wednesday, January 1, 2025 as public holidays to mark Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year celebrations.
Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo who is the minister of interior made the announcement through a statement signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, today, Monday.
Dr Tunji-Ojo extended greetings to Nigerians, and encouraged citizens to embrace the values of love, peace, and unity that comes with the season. He said; Christmas season is a good moment for both spiritual reflection and national renewal.
He further stated that as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we should demonstrate kindness and extend goodwill to one another, irrespective of our differences.
Dr Tunji Ojo Reassured Nigerians of the government’s dedication. He expressed optimism that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda would drive the country toward a more prosperous 2025. Added that, The Federal Government is committed to ensuring peace, security, and prosperity across the nation.
