The chairman/CEO NAMPET group of companies, Dr Timothy Peterson has described the ancient city of Ijesha in Osun state as the best one can be proud of in terms of its tradition, culture and hard work.
Dr Peterson made this assertion while speaking with Rulers’ World in his office ahead of the coronation ceremony of the new Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland.
He described the monarch as a fulfilled man whose watchword is the welfare of his people thereby expressed his confidence in him to have a smooth and fruitful reign
Dr. Peterson who charged every son and daughter of Ijesha living in the diaspora to always prioritize their home, stressed that whoever that forgets his native home will always be a sojouner in another man’s land no matter how respected and successful he or she might have become in a foreign land.
Dr Peterson also commend his kinsmen in the Diaspora for their immense contributions towards the progress and betterment of Ijesha land expressed happiness about the robust collaboration and cooperation between them and those at home towards the development of their name land.
I am proud of being an Ijesha man, this town is the best in the world. It is not good to forget one’s root because everything is not about money. I always implore my kinsmen living in the Diaspora to come and replicate what they are doing at home.
If not for anything they should come and look after their father’s houses been sold up and down and if possible rebuild them to a modern taste.” He advised.
