Ladoja Tells Ex Osun Governor Akande: Retract Your Statement or face Legal Action

Senator Rashidi Ladoja, former Governor of Oyo State, has denied allegations made by Chief Bisi Akande, a former Osun State Governor, that he withdrew the case of Chief Bola Ige’s assassination former Attorney General of the Federation and Minster of Justice Ladoja, countered that Akande’s claims were false, stating that Ige was killed 18 months before he assumed office as governor .

According to Ladoja, he became governor on May 29, 2003, while Ige was assassinated on December 23, 2001. He emphasized that his government did not withdraw any case related to Ige’s murder, and that the case was actually prosecuted up to the Supreme Court.

Ladoja also warned Akande to retract his statement and issue a public apology, threatening to take legal action if necessary. He expressed his sadness over Ige’s death, stating that he was close to the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice when he was alive.
