Two Officers of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board that recently retired were presented meritorious service awards and gifts by the management of the Board.
While presenting the award to the retired Deputy Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs Olanrewaju Beatrice Olamide and retired Chief Statistical Officer Mr Ishola Ayodeji , at the retirement programme held at the Mini Hall of Local Government Staff Training School, Secretariat, Ibadan, Hon Akeem Ige said ” the awards and gifts were presented in recognition of their contributions to the growth and development of the Board while in public service” .
He noted that the retired Officers were hardworking, committed and dedicated to their duties and also exhibited high sense of responsibilities throughout the service.
The Chairman said ” we are rendering service to humanity in pension board and all the staff are performing their duties excellently, so we are using this medium to appreciate our retirees.”
In his remarks , the Permanent Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Lukman Akinola Muraina said the Board has recorded great transformation and improved service delivery. He then commended the retired Officers for their loyalty to the present government and utmost dedication to duties while in service.
Alhaji Lukman Muraina also used the occasion to appreciate the entire members of staff for their steadfast, loyalty, commitment and for always attending to pensioners with respect and humility.
In their various goodwill messages, the former Head of Service Alhaja Hamdalat Ololade Agboola, the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Deacon Adewale Taiwo Olafimihan and the President , Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) , Oyo state branch, Com Ayobami Adeogun appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State , His Excellency , Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for his commitment to workers and pensioners welfare. They also described the retired officers as competent, hardworking and dedicated officers worthy of emulation by those in active service.
While responding, the retired Officers, the Deputy Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs Olanrewaju Olamide and Chief Statistical Officer, Mr Ishola Ayodeji expressed gratitude to the Chairman and Permanent Secretary of the Board for organizing a beffiting retirement party for them and appreciated them for the awards and gifts noting that they will always have good memories of the Board.
Dignitaries that graced the occasion include the Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Christian Wing, Bishop Ademola Moradeyo, Former Secretary, , Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muslim Wing, Alhaja Olanipekun Kadijat, Permanent Secretaries Ibadan Zone 1, Pastor Adeola Oduola, Oke Ogun zone 2 , Mr. Alani Bamgbose, Ibarapa zone Dr Adefunke Hazmat , Directors, Deputy Directors and Unit Heads, LGSPB and host of others.
