Another era has begun in the history of the Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON) Oyo State chapter as the body inaugurated a new set of executives to lead its affairs for the next four years.
The landmark event which took place today at the association’s office located at Idi-Odo, Challenge, Ibadan marked a significant milestone in its drive for the growth of automart business activities in the state.
The newly Inaugurated executives were Asiwaju Kolawole Olurinde from A-Plus Motors as the Governor while Adeniran Abdulrosheed was vice chairman 1 and Prince Oyedele Adebayo as vice chairman 11.
Others were General- Secretary, Oduola Kolawole, Adegboyega Adekunle – Assistant -secretary, Financial Secretary Alhaji Ahmed Akero, Task force Commandant Olagoke Akinsoju, Task Force Marshal Lawal Mojeed, Social secretary Rahman Ismail, Treasurer Azeez Wahab, PRO, Falola Ayoola, Chief Whip, Olabiyi Rasheed , and the Auditor Ganiyu Sakiru Alao respectively.
In his inaugural speech, the new Governor of the association, Asiwaju Kolawole Olurinde expressed his gratitude to the outgone caretaker committee led by Alhaji Wasiu Ahmed Alobalowo for upholding the values of association and leaving an indelible marks behind.
He stressed that the foundation that the caretaker members had laid would serve as a solid platform upon which the new leaders will build a more vibrant and progressive association.
The Governor equally expressed his appreciation to the Electoral Chairman, Com. Ojebunmi Dele Ajibona and his committee members for their boldness and courage in conducting the best election in the history of the association in Oyo State with a vow to always prioritize his members welfare
In their separate remarks the outgone caretaker chairman Alhaji Ahmed Alobalowo, and the pioneer Governor of the association, Apostle Akanbi Taiwo Adewale expressed their confidence in the ability of the new executives to take the association to enviable height.
They however charged them to embrace unity and operate an open door policy with absolute transparency in order to have a successful administration.
The ceremony was well attended by leaders and members of the association across all zones and units as well as past leaders of the association in the state.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the certificate to the new executive members of the association.
