The lawmaker representing Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, Oyo, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu has congratulated Muslim ummah in his federal constituency as they joined their counterparts worldwide in celebrating Eid-el-fitrl festival.
In a congratulatory statement issued through his Special Assistant on Media, Abdullah Alimi Ajofeebo, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu enjoined all Muslim faithful to sustain the good deeds exhibited during the holy month and continue to practice the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
The lawmaker who underscores the need for peaceful co-existence and the unity in the country, tasked Nigerans to pray fervently to Allah to continue to guide and lead the country’s leaders at all levels aright in the journey towards the nation building.
“Ramadan may be over, but our prayers for Nigeria for a peaceful and prosperous nation must be sustained as well as our support for the current administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Oyo State government under Engr. Seyi Makinde, all our elected members of the National and state assemblies as well as the elected council chairmen in Oyo State.
I also wish to enjoin all Muslim faithful to be moderate during the celebration of Eid-el-fitrl and continue to extend love to one another, especially the less privileged in our neighbourhood.” He said.
Hon. ‘Lafi’ who is the Chairman House Committee on Nigeria/Mexico Parliamentary Friendship, assured his constituents that he will continue to provide initiative and responses expected of him as a legislator that will better their standards of living and reduce poverty, unemployment in his federal constituency.
