PDP Crisis: Damagun Blames for the Party’s Woes, as Suswan Hints at Leaving PDP

former Benue State Governor and People Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Gabriel Suswan has declared that he may soon dump the party if the crisis rocking it is not resolved.

While serving as a guest on channels television on Wednesday, the ex-governor expressed his dissatisfaction over the lingering issue, he said there’s a possibility that he would dump PDP and find an alternative, despite serving as a two-term governor and senator under the umbrella of the party

Suswan noted that he never make his decision on the next party to join if eventually leaves PDP, Said there are many opening door for numerous political party including the Labor party, and the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and even All Progressive Congress (APC) “Kwankwaso is a colleague and friend, so, there are lot of alternatives”. “APC can be an alternative”.He said.

He further blamed the acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Umar Damagum, as the the problem of the party, insisted that the party has been deteriorating since he assumed the role of the acting National Chairman.

“I have consistently said that Damagum is not a leader. What has happened here is that after the meeting with INEC, a good leader would have met with the National Working Committee members to brief them before holding any press conference.

“Damagum has been the problem of the PDP since he assumed the acting National Chairman of the party. The party has been drifting downward, I have said this consistently.” He maintained.
