It’ was a colourful gathering on early hour of Wednesday 3rd of July 2024 at jogor event centre (hall of grace) Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state as fidau prayer was held in honor of late Alhaja Odee limotallah Arapaja, the mother of a renowned politician and an opinion leader Hon. Taofeek Arapaja who is the current deputy national chairman of People’s Democratic party (PDP) and former deputy governor of Oyo state The program witnessed tons of personalities ranging from royal fathers, past and present governors, Islamic clerics, political office holders, recognized business men and women, public servant, PDP national executives among others that are are present at the memorable occassion. In his commemoration message the Governor of the state of Oyo Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde was full of praise for late Alhaja Odee, defining her as a legacy initiator who has sacrificed a lot in raising a successful child like Hon. Arapaja. He Thank God for Arapaja for surviving his late mum stating that it’s always painful to loose a mother but what matters at the end is surviving our aged one. Makinde sympathized with the deceased children and advice them to be united even more than when their mother was still alive. He prayed for them that may Almighty Allah grant them the strength and energy to bear the loss and wish mama Al-janat fridaus Arapaja while giving vote of thanks expresses gratitude to every one who had rolled out in number to pay last respect to his mum, he added that he couldn’t contain his joy seeing eminent personalities turning out graciously on a day like this, He specially appreciate governor Seyi Makinde for staying through within that shaky days of his mum transition to heavenly realm and wish him more successful tenure in office
